Episode 3: Tour with the Cats

Winter arrives. More foreign travelers stray into the Cat Shrine Village. They come from around the world: – 🇩🇪 Germany – 🇫🇷 France – 🇯🇵 Japan – 🇺🇸 America – 🇰🇷 South Korea Some come because of rumors, some by accident, but once they see the “silent black cat in the shrine,” …they stop walking at once. 😽 Nippan lies still, unmoving. Whenever visitors draw near— though six other cats sit around— every gaze lands on him alone. > The French visitor offers a confused wai and sits down. The Korean visitor gently pats the cat’s head. The Japanese visitor folds a heart-shaped origami and sets it before the shrine. No one speaks aloud— but Nippan understands what each is wishing for.
